It is classed as a shrub rose, but Aunt Honey looks for all the world like a pink Hybrid Tea. Griffith Bucks achievement was ro breed a rose of such beauty that would flourish in the unpromising climate of Iowa. The buds are large and high-centred in the Hybrid ‘Ica style. Its flowers open large and pink, full of petals, and neatly arranged like a camellia. Later they reflex along their sides and assume a more spiky shape. They are borne singly and in clusters of up to seven on a strong-growing, prickly, bushy plant. Aunt Honey’ has pale green leaves and large, rounded leaflets. It flowers repeatedly until the first frosts.
